- I live for house music and walk around the house with headphones all day long.
- I read interior magazines back to front and still don't know why..
- I was once an English teacher near Wuhan, China.
- I have a BA in Economics..
For the last 10 years, I've been sharing interior inspiration on my blog - previously called Hege in France. I've shared everything from DIY projects, to apartments I love and a lot from my own home too. I'm drawn to natural light and love a good shadow play on the wall.
As I mentioned, I grew up in Norway, but have also lived in China, France and now Scotland. Whilst living in France I discovered Bric-a-bracs and this lead me to styling and photography. I was doing up or upcyling old furniture, so for example painting or staining and then I would sell it again. I discovered that if I styled the item in a nice setting, not only would I sell it quicker, but also for a lot more. Back in 2012, I started my blog and it was all about my recent upcyling projects. The blog and my styling skills have changed and develped a lot since then.
I work from home and love the flexibility of being self-employed.
I love minimal, clean lines. Nordic Design is in my roots, as I grew up in Norway. I find inspiration from nature, Pinterest and Instagram mostly, but I still love a good interiors magazine.
