I need light, and it’s something I’ve been talking about a lot here on the blog. Especially in the Winter. It’s so dark. We notice a big difference from living in France. It’s a lot darker here and I’m always turning on more lights. I hate dark corners. Yes, I’m passionate about light and today I’m putting lighting in focus.
It drives me mad if a room is too dark, so for our new home I really want to get the lighting right. I’ve been working with David Village Lighting and it’s been really nice to get expert advice. I think lighting is really important, but it’s often something that is overlooked and not budgeted for.
With the teams 30 years experience and their bespoke Lighting Design Service, they were able to help me and give me suggestions on what would work where. We’ve chosen some minimal lights from Astro, you can see them here, and a few statement lights. The selection at David Village Lighting is extensive and I was surprised to find so many great brands under one roof. If you’re in Sheffield I would definitely recommend a visit to their showroom.
Back to choosing lamps, so like I said I chose some lamps for the simple fact that they give both up and down light and some because they look amazing. In fact, I think they all look amazing, but some of them make a room really stand out. I can’t wait to show you more.
Today I’m going to show you a selection of lamps from David Village Lighting that I think are simply stunning. I think you’ll love them too!
