Modern, mid-century modern. What do I mean by that?! I’ll explain. It would be easy to buy only new furniture and make this apartment look as new as it is. The apartment block is actually only a couple of years old. Yet, you don’t find a lot of new furniture here. The apartment is mostly furnished with mid-century modern furniture and it has got so much character.
The mid-century furniture works so well alongside trendy posters and the gorgeous green plants. But it’s not all mid-century, as you can see. The new ODGER chair from IKEA looks great. It’s the mix of old and new I like here. That’s what makes this apartment look so interesting.
If you like the vintage chair you can get similar items on Tictail and Etsy or a brand new one from Skandium.
So if you’re moving to a new apartment don’t think for a second that everything has to be brand new. Inherited pieces are great, so if you can get your hands on a piece of furniture from a parent or a grandparent, it can add character to your new home.

I would love to hear what you think about this white, Nordic apartment. I think it’s an apartment worth taking some ideas from. You wouldn’t think the apartment only was a few years old would you?
Tomorrow on the blog it’s all about the colour black and some very trendy bathroom taps.
