I feel quite drawn to basic open shelves and keep seeing them everywhere. I like the modular shelves from Made. A cheaper option would be some brackets and shelves from a DIY shop. I’ve seen some stunning shelves over at Kollekted by too. How do you feel about open shelves? Do you like having things on display or do you prefer to hide things? I think a mixture of both is needed.
I like to style my shelves with the seasons, so it’s goodbye summer flowers and hello scented candles and warmer colours. I’ve found another beautifully styled apartment on Alvhem. I like the colour of the books in the photos below. This might be a white home, but with the warm beige and brown tones it’s very Autumn like. I think they create a bit of interest as well as inject a bit of colour in this monochromatic room. I think a trip to the charity shop is needed! It’s a great place to pick up interesting ceramics too.
We’ve definitely got autumn air, here in Scotland, so it’s close to that time of year when you’ve got to start putting the heating on. I’ve spotted some nice looking radiators over on Trade Radiators. I like the traditional radiators in this apartment.
I was trying to cling onto summer there, but as it’s definitely changed into Autumn now, I’m starting to accept the change. By making it nice and cosy indoors, it already feels a bit better. I think good lighting is a must for darker evenings. I’ve already been moving lamps and adding extra lamps in some rooms. It’s so important, don’t you think?
If you’re looking for lighting inspiration, I’ve got a large Pinterest board for you with lots of amazing lamps. You can find it here.
