Right, so I’ve started to prepare for Stockholm and Stockholm furniture and lighting fair. I’ve never been before, so I’m quite exited to go. Last time I visited Stockholm, I was on a family holiday (We drove there from Norway! Yes, it was really far!) and I remember loving it. I think I must have been 16 or 17 at the time.
Preparing for Stockholm includes warm clothes and a new bag. This is actually a yoga bag, but I love it so much that I’ll be using it as my camera bag. I think a pair of warm, comfy shoes will be needed, as I can imagine I’ll be doing a lot of walking.

More about what I’ll be looking at. I mentioned that I’ll be going to Stockholm furniture and lighting fair. I’ve been wanting to go for years, so I can’t wait to finally go! I’ll be visiting brands I already know, but also discovering artists and brands that are unknown to me. I find that really exciting.
I’ve come to love this chair. It’s not bad in tan leather or black either. It’s the Bollo chair by Norwegian designer Andreas Engesvik. Designed in 2016 it’s not exactly new, but I think this is a very current design chair and he’s definitely a designer to follow. I’m looking forward to seeing the news from Fogia. As they put it, “Nobody puts Bollo in the corner” and frankly why would you?
Kristina Dam never disappoints. I love her work and have seen some of the new collection on Instagram, but can’t wait to see more in Stockholm.
I’m really looking forward to finally meet artist Anna Bülow from Anna by Love and gaze at her beautiful new prints. I do love the beige tones she’s using just now. Very current!
I’ll of course be visiting the Fredericia stand, as that is a brand I truly love and find very inspiring. Here’s a picture from the Pato collection. The lounge chairs are currently on my wish list.
Nordic Design
There are of course many great Nordic Design hotels in Stockholm, so I’ll try to visit a few of them too. Today, I read about this great co-sharing work space on the Stylejuicer, so hopefully I’ll find the time to visit Alma too. It looks fantastic and I for one would be very happy to work from there.
In addition to all of this, I’m looking forward to all the beautiful architecture, the design shops and least but not last, the cosy coffee shops. I hope you’ll follow along on my Instagram account and I’m sure there will be plenty of blog posts from this trip in the near future.
If you happen to be in Stockholm, please get in touch! I’ll be there from the 4th to the 8th February. Want me to visit anywhere in particular, please let give me a shout and I’ll see what I can do. Recommendations are much welcome too! Anything to do with Nordic Design will be my focus.
