I’ve already written a few Christmas posts this year and my home will be decorated in a simple Nordic way. You’ll be able to find touches of greenery here and there, a minimal wreath and plenty of cosy blankets. I prefer to find a few things that stand out instead of having things everywhere. A personal choice, of course.
I’ll be hosting a small and intimate pre-Christmas gathering tonight for a few friends. We are all so busy during the Christmas period, so it’s nice to catch up before it all begins for real. For the occasion, I got some decorations and luxury crackers from Cox & Cox to make the table stand out. The luxury crackers fit in perfectly and the high shine copper stars add a bit of festive glamour to an all black table. The set of 6 include some pretty amazing gifts. I can’t wait to see what’s in them all. I’ve cheated a little and opened one. There was a hat and a joke inside, but also a very nice gift. The one I opened had a wine pourer. Not a bad extra present to take home with you.

Nordic home ready for Christmas
As you can see, we now have our Christmas tree up. We normally wait a bit longer, but for some reason this year it actually feels really nice to have the tree up. It’s a real one, so let’s hope it’ll be ok until Christmas. All I have on the tree this year are lights and brass decorations.

Glass Baubles
The set of three glass baubles from Cox & Cox, look beautiful on a branch. It’s a simple decoration to add to a room and it feels nice and minimal. Just a little touch of Christmas. Hung on a simple branch, I think it’s all you need.

I think our New Year’s Eve party will look pretty much the same, but I might add a bit more sparkle with some fun drink stirrers to put in our glasses. I like a bit of sparkle for New Year. There might even be some balloons! Have a look at these ideas I’ve found on Pinterest.
