This really is an advent calendar for the whole family. The alternative advent calendar created by Juniqe features 24 artists and consists of 24 mini posters. The advent calendar is called A Poster A Day. I really like this idea, as it’s not just chocolate. Don’t get me wrong, I like chocolate, but this is something you can keep. The 2016 JUNIQE Advent Calendar features photography, illustration, typography and more. It’s made in a limited edition of 500. The posters are packed individually in numbered boxes. I think the cool black and white boxes could easily be kept for next year. You could recycle the boxes and fill them with something else next advent.
If you’re thinking, but I’m not sure if I would like the posters… There’s a little spoiler here. Don’t look if you prefer a surprise every day.
I’ve cheated and had a look. I’ve seen posters I would like to hang up in different rooms in our new home. I opened one to show you, but the rest I’m keeping for December, which really is just round the corner now. This year has gone by so quickly.
My photo features HOPE by Ingrid Beddoes. Isn’t it pretty? I know exactly where I’m going to hang it.
