Highlights from London Design Fair LDF19

9/26/2019

As usual, there was a lot to see in London. I went to 100% Design, Design Junction and London Design Fair. I always come home with so many impressions when I go to exhibitions and it’s quite often a little overwhelming. This was one of those trips.

My favourite discovery this year was Foscarini. This was so unique and totally unexpected. The Metaphysica installation by Foscarini at Oneroom Gallery was one not to be missed. I loved it and could have stayed there all day. This was not what I expected to find in the middle of Shoreditch and I’m so glad I managed to see it.

Christabel Balfour

It’s always nice to meet the artist in person, so I was very happy when Christabel Balfour gave us a demonstration of her weaving. Her work is beautiful. I love the textures and the craftsmanship. Click here to see more.

Design: Kristina Stark

A very talented Swedish designer with a range of beautiful products. New to me, but I noticed that I already new a few of her products. The box light candle holder being one of them.

I was drawn to the leather slippers. They’re made by hand in  naturally veg-tanned high quality leather from Ta?rnsjo? Garveri.

Space Copenhagen for Benchmark

What’s not to love?! I think everything Space Copenhagen work on is just perfect. In fact, I’ll show you more from Space Copenhagen in my next post.

The Muse Sofa they designed for Benchmark looks so comfortable. The minimalist design is just stunning and the added side table is such a great addition. Available in ash or oak.

Noo.ma

Noo.ma was a nice discovery with interesting minimal designs. I liked quite a few items from the collection and I think this is one to watch. The Tows Ladder is on my wish list, as is the Lekko Cabinet.

Porter

The marble from Porter Bathrooms looked absolutely stunning styled with nice products and pampas grass. You can see more varieties of limestone and marble here. The brass looks stunning against the marble. A dreamy luxury bathroom.
