I find the winter months quite hard. Coming back from work every day in the dark, isn’t ideal. I’m looking forward to Spring, but of course winter isn’t quite over yet. This bright and airy apartment in Stockholm feels inviting and very Spring like, don’t you think? White and pale wood stand out beautifully against the light grey walls. The detail of painting the shelves the same colour as the wall is not something new, but I think it looks great. It makes the shelves blend in and you focus on what’s actually on the shelves. I keep meaning to do this, but still haven’t gotten that far. No doubt I would change what’s on the shelves weekly, but I like the fact that I would be able to. It’s more of a commitment drilling holes in walls, for me anyway. I like moving things around and I’m not great at sticking to one thing for a long time. I couldn’t have the same piece of art or a poster in the same spot for years. If would drive me mad! It’s all about change here.
The sheer curtains in the living room are exactly what I’m looking for in my home office. I still haven’t quite found them yet. Any suggestions on where to get them please?
I also like the fact that the bedroom isn’t overly styled. There’s a focus on textiles and ceramics, but that’s about it. It’s very tranquil and looks like a space to relax in. A perfectly styled apartment in light grey.
