I think it’s really important to take time out and time off social media. Yes, I know I have talked about this before.. I love making time for slow brew coffee and catching up either with a friend or on some reading. Last weekend I went to Artisan Roast in Glasgow for some nice coffee. I was recommended a lovely coffee from Rwanda, it’s quite a fruity one. I normally take milk in my coffee, but I don’t think this would work with milk. It’s so good without. Not to mention what it smells like. It’s fills the whole room with the lovely aroma.
I recently got a new Slow Brew coffee brewer from Stelton. It’s perfect for two cups of coffee. If you want it all to yourself, the brewer keeps the coffee nice and warm for you to enjoy two cups.
I love the minimal design by Francis Cayouette. The Nordic collection he designed for Stelton fits in perfectly in our newly renovated kitchen. I really like his work. You can find the Nordic collection here.
“Nordic is inspired by the Nordic landscape and design values. It represents the Scandinavian way of living with a “less is more” attitude.” Stelton
How do you feel about social media? I think some people are over sharing and I often feel the need to take a step back. Enjoying moments like this is important to me. I think getting away from screens for a little while is healthy and it makes me focus. Reading a magazine still feels quite different to looking at things on my laptop. I feel the same way about people to of course. It’s not the same to receive an email as it is meeting people in person. I’m enjoying getting out a little more now are renovations are almost complete. Today I’m travelling to London again for the Best of Pinterest UK Interiors Awards tomorrow. I’m please to say that I won two awards! I’ll show you more about that shortly, but first coffee.
