Last week Magnus and I flew out to Spain to stay with my parents (they moved there from Norway just a couple of weeks ago). They’ve rented a beautiful, recently renovated, town house in the Costa del Sol region. The day before flying out I got a phone call saying my Mum had been in an accident and broken her shoulder, so our trip changed mood. I had planned to work from there, but of course family comes first. My Mum spent five days at the hospital and also had a big operation. I’m so glad I could help with both speaking English and French, as neither of us speak Spanish (although I’m now thinking about having a go at learning it). I’m just glad we were there to offer a bit of support as it’s still a long way to go for her shoulder to get better. We’re grateful that it went as well as it did as it could have been so much worse.
Their roof top terrace view one evening.
Before heading back to Scotland, I helped my parents buy garden furniture. These chairs look just as good inside as outside.
I don’t think I noticed the cacti heaven last time I visited Spain, but this time I saw them everywhere! They grow wild like weeds. Just wish I had some extra room in my suitcase.
One of my big joys of travelling is of course discovering the country’s interior design magazines..
Now back in Scotland, it’s amazing how much it’s changed and looks like autumn here.
It’s also feels freezing and it’ll take us a few days to climatise.
Hope you’re all well. It’s nice to be back blogging again. It’s been a while!
