I love art and wish I could afford expensive pieces. A while back, I discovered something new and I think this is a really good idea. Did you know you can rent art? I thought this was more for big companies, but I was wrong. Individuals can rent art too. It’s also a great way of trying artwork at home if you intend to buy.

It’s nice to find out details about the artist and to see more of the work they create. On the Rise Art blog I found a nice artist studio tour that I think you should have a look at. The industrial setting and the vintage furniture works so well with Miranda Donovan’s work, don’t you think?
As I already mentioned, I chose to style a print by award winning Marju Tammik. She studied fashion at the Estonian Academy of Arts (MA) and worked several years as fashion designer and stylist. Her focus today is graphic design and fashion illustration.
Marju’s approach to illustrating is intuitive and immediate, aspiring to capture in the moment inspiration, vision and the pleasure of drawing. Regardless of the resulting energetic and precise line work, her works leave the impression of being born out of white uncovered surfaces, just like a Japanese haiku. The print I styled is called Elvis and I think it’s a real eye catcher. This is a great print for minimal homes, as it adds a little hint of colour.
