My stay at Hotel SP34 Copenhagen

8/28/2017

If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen a lot from Copenhagen lately. Last week I took part in a Scandi Design Tour with design bloggers from all over Europe. We visited Fredericia and Georg Jensen and got to see behind the scenes as well as beautiful showrooms and flagship stores. It was an amazing trip and I have so much to show you. I though we would start at the hotel we stayed at. Luxury boutique Hotel SP34 has been heavily featured, especially on Instagram. On the website it says ” all filled with that Sunday feeling “ and I couldn’t agree more. The rooms have a very relaxed feel. You can see more from the hotel here.

I love the slate coloured walls and wouldn’t mind having them in my own bedroom. My hotel room was pretty dark, but one afternoon I managed to take a few photos to show you what it was like. I’m a huge fan of the wooden headboard and the leather cushion. The muted colours go so well with the brass lamp. The trip emphasised the beauty of objects, but that an object also has to be functional, so I guess the fact that the lamp can be used to hang clothes on fits in quite well here.

The hotel was located in central Copenhagen and was within walking distance to everything. I didn’t have time to go to any shop, so I would love to come back soon again. There are many showrooms and shops I would love to visit. My list is quite long, so hopefully I can jump on a plane to Denmark pretty soon.

I arrived to find the program, a pretty catalogue from Fredericia and a beautiful book from Georg Jensen on my bed. Bedtime reading sorted. I’ll show you more soon.

Breakfast at Vakst was so good. Everything was organic and my favourite was the overnight oats. So good! I really should start doing that at home too. I found some really easy overnight recipes here.

Next stop – The new Fredericia Showroom. I have already featured the Fredericia showroom here. Seeing it in person was great, though. The showroom is in the centre of Copenhagen, enormous and filled with designer pieces.

You can find more from the trip on #scandidesigntour2017.
