My home office has really come into its own since I decorated it earlier this year. For the first time since we moved in it feels like a proper, functional space, especially with the new storage.
Sitting at my desk, I have the most wonderful views out across the garden and far beyond over the hills. One of the best things about living in a mid-century home is the large windows and I felt mine deserved framing properly with bespoke curtains. The idea of finding some big enough to fit was quite daunting but as Thomas Sanderson make custom curtains up to 10m wide I knew working with them would be a stress-free experience.
In keeping with the floor to ceiling style Thomas Sanderson installed in our living room, I chose the same Fagel fabric in Natural with a silver Metropole and stud finials.
Tonally, they work beautifully alongside the different shades of wood in the room. The Ripple track attached to the wooden frame makes it easy to install a Wave header, which gives you the correct spacing and symmetrical curves whether they’re open or closed.
Now they bring a sense of warmth to my minimal workspace and make the whole experience of working here feel a lot more comforting. I can draw the curtains in the evenings and work with plenty of privacy.
I’ve recently updated my curtains for a pop of colour in the spring, see this post about my beautiful mustard full length curtains for more.
If you’re keen to find out more from Thomas Sanderson they’re still offering consultations and fittings according to current Covid-19 guidelines. Please visit the website for further information.
As these are not at all normal times, I have included a message from Thomas Sanderson in regards to how they now work.
We’re pleased to announce that we are returning to work. However, the continued safety of our customers and colleagues remains our number one priority, so we’ve put significant changes in place to protect the health and wellbeing of all. We will continue to offer the exceptional in-home consultations on bespoke shutters, blinds and curtains as before but with a few changes.
These changes include only holding consultations if both our designers and customers have been symptom-free for 14 days, designers observing strict social distancing measures throughout the consultation as well as designers wearing personal protective equipment. For more information, visit our website.
