Mustard yellow velvet curtains and signs of spring

It’s been a while since I’ve showed you any images from my home, so I though I would post a few. I get quite a lot of comments on the mustard yellow curtains.

I was really enjoying the signs of spring last week, but of course it all changed this week with #thebeastfromtheeast. We’ve got so much snow! We’ve had about 40 centimeters in two days! I’ve never seen anything like it in Scotland before. These images were taken at the weekend. I was so excited to see some shadows on the wall. One of my favourite things in Spring. Here I go talking about natural light again. You can read more about natural light here if you like.

The 265 FLOS lamp is from David Village Lighting, you can find it here.

I love the 70s mustard yellow velvet curtains that the previous owners of the house left. The colour is beautiful, don’t you think? The velvet cushion is by Raine & Humble, I got mine in TK Maxx a couple of years ago.

The sofa is by Muuto, you can see more here. The rocking chair is called The Stingray and is by Fredericia. Read more about it here.
