The Krane private retreat Copenhagen

8/26/2017

Sometimes a press release arrives in your inbox and you really want to share it. This was one of those. We’re sticking to the Danish theme here with this private retreat for two with amazing views over Copenhagen harbour. The Krane is situated on the waterfront of an old harbour in Nordhavn. The surroundings are very much industrial.  The Krane is filled with accessories and furniture from Menu. There’s a reception area, a meeting room, spa and on the top floor living space, lounge and terrasse. The design of The Krane is very minimal and the focus is on the view. The Krane was built in 1944.

“The Krane fits perfectly with our brand positioning as Modernism Reimagined. And our desire to make the world a little bit nicer to wake up to.” MENU Brand & Design Director Joachim Kornbek Engell-Hansen.

What do you think? I personally think it look stunning. It would be easy to personalise this place a little with some nice plants and books. It’s very minimal as it is. Too minimal do you think or just perfect?

You can see all the items by Menu here.
