Our monochrome workspace

3/27/2015

A while ago I rented a studio with Deborah from Ollie and Seb’s haus. The studio was a bit of a lemon, so it took a while to renovate it before we moved in. The building is really old and used to be an old factory, so the room has got a bit of an industrial feel to it. We created a monochrome workspace, this style would also work for a home office/office space too.

Nothing is perfect, but we both like the raw industrial look. It’s hard to imagine the studio with it’s magnolia coloured walls and bright blue carpet. It’s had a bit of a makeover, including updating the floor. You can see how we painted the wooden floor in this post.

The reason why we chose this studio was mostly because of the light. We are lucky to have two large windows and were also able to paint the wooden floor and also the walls. We’ve chosen to keep the studio mostly white. We love adding black details like the Muuto Visu chair, wood, gold accents and green plants. We even have music at the studio from our wireless Native Union speaker. Our monochrome workspace is easy to adapt for photo shoots.

Deborah is just the best at styling and I love seeing her in action. It all looks so natural and effortless.
