As winter draws to a close, it’s time to refresh your home décor with the colours and textures of spring. I’m always asked about my mustard yellow curtains, which bring a warmth and pop of colour to my Nordic home. Making them perfect for welcoming the spring into my home.
Mustard yellow velvet curtains are perfect for those who want to add a pop of colour to their living space without overwhelming the room. The velvet fabric adds a luxurious texture that is both soft to the touch and visually appealing.
Add touches of Spring to your Home Décor
In addition to mustard yellow velvet curtains, there are other signs of spring that you can incorporate into your home décor. For example, you can add some fresh flowers in vases around the house (like the beautiful magnolia flowers above), change your bedding to lighter and brighter colours and textures. You can see my bedroom styled here for the spring.

Capturing the Natural Light of Spring at Home
These images were taken at the weekend. I was so excited to see some shadows on the wall. One of my favourite things in Spring. Here I go talking about natural light again. You can read more about natural light here. I love how the shadows capture the nature from outside, bringing it in in an interesting way. I wrote about light and shadow here.

I love the 70s mustard yellow velvet curtains that the previous owners of the house left. The colour is beautiful, don’t you think? The velvet cushion is by Raine & Humble, I got mine in TK Maxx a couple of years ago.
The sofa is by Muuto, you can see more here. The rocking chair is called The Stingray and is by Fredericia. Read more about it The Stingray chair here.
