Since we bought our home back in 2016, I could picture a round dining table at the amazing window in the living room. The dining room never happened, as I couldn’t find the table I wanted. We have a nice table in the kitchen, but it’s more of a day to day space. You can see it here.
The previous owners had created a dining space in the hall, but I felt that wasn’t quite right. Where would you put shoes and jackets etc, but also it felt a little weird to walking straight into a dining room.
Our living room is large, but quite a strange long shape. When I found the K2 round dining table from JENSENplus, I new I had found what I was looking for. It’s timeless, stylish and minimal. Perfect for 4 people and evenings with long conversations. So far, we’ve used it as a table for two and I’ve also done a bit of work from here. It’s a great place for a dining table with a nice green view.
The round dining table is designed by Danish architect Mikkel Bahr from Friis & Moltke.
Danish design with Nordic minimalism and simplicity
“The K2 Dining Table with a round shape is the perfect dining table. The shape is very including when having guests over for dinner or enjoying a meal with your family. The design has a classic construction with a great stability. The design fits any interior style and provides your home with a minimalistic touch.”
“A base in black or white powder-coated steel and an additional frame creates the stability of the round K2 Dining Table. The dining table has a very sharp look with a simple round table top and diagonal legs which gets its inspiration from the classic sawhorse. The table top is 25 mm thick and covered with either linoleum or laminate. These materials combined create a product of high quality that can handle just about anything.” – JENSENplus
JENSENplus have been producing furniture since the 1930s. I can see that quality and craftsmanship is a big focus in their work and I really appreciate the Nordic minimalism and simplicity.
What do you think? I love it and feel like I’ve finally managed to create what I have been dreaming of. I’ll be looking for two other chairs to compliment the ones I have from Fredericia and Muuto.
