TREND – Velvet headboard for a luxurious bedroom

6/26/2016

I recently took part in a mood board challenge on At Mine. Before I started my mood board, I purchased the e-course by Gudy Herder from Eclectic Trends. Gudy is a mood board expert and I found the course both inspiring and helpful. After I had completed the course, I got down to the tactile part and started laying out my mood board. I decided to do a mood board of my dream bedroom. I knew more or less how to create a mood board, but I feel like I can create one with a lot more confidence now. As a part of an ongoing mood board collaboration with At Mine, I was able to submit my mood board and get feedback from Gudy. To my surprise her feedback was amazing, so I was naturally really pleased. You can see my mood board below and hop over to both Eclectic Trends and At Mine to read more about it.

The reason I’m writing about my mood board today, is because my mood board included a very luxurious velvet headboard. Have you noticed this latest trend? By adding a velvet headboard you instantly create a luxurious bedroom. Just have a look here…

For more bedroom inspiration visit my Pinterest account. I’ve seen some great options for velvet beds here. If you fancy making a velvet headboard yourself, order some velvet fabrics and get started. I’ve seen some nice ones at Stoff & Stil, which by the way has just launched in the UK. I think this could be a great DIY.
