It’s not easy to find a trendy affordable hotel in London, so I was very happy to discover Kip Hotel. With it’s monochrome decor, the hotel offers a range of accommodation to suit every need. The rooms start from only £65 and it’s located at a central London location in Hackney. I recently stayed in a Buddy room at Kip with fellow blogger Tiffany from Curate and Display. We were in London for London Design Fair. With the train just around the corner, this was a handy place to stay. We got the train to Shoreditch in the morning, so we could visit The Old Truman Brewery for some much needed design inspiration. I’ll show you more from there later, as I’ve discovered some nice new brands that I know you’ll like.
Our buddy room was nice and spacious, had comfy beds and it was surprisingly quiet. I wasn’t expecting it to be so quiet with the train was so nearby, but it really was. There was a cool sliding door leading to a small en-suite shower room. I really enjoyed the monochrome decor and the clean lines. There’s no breakfast at Kip, but you can get free tea and coffee from reception and there are plenty of coffee shops and restaurant in the area. Here are some nice restaurants to check out; Oslo, Lardo, Raw Duck and Franco Manca to mention some.
With 105 rooms, Kip is on a mission to bring the world style and service without the silly price tags. I think this is a great place to stay and would love to go back soon with my family. I still haven’t shown Magnus London and would love to do that soon. It’s such a great city!
