I’m seeing velvet everywhere this Autumn. I remember years ago watching SEINFELD and there was a comment about George and his velvet track suit. Something about being draped in velvet. Sounds nice doesn’t it? haha! Did you see the episode? Maybe you had to be there or something.. Anyway it kind of stuck in my mind. Just now in both interiors and fashion we’re seeing a lot of velvet. There are velvet sofas, long velvet curtains, velvet clothes.. I think it looks great and have created a Pinterest board for you to check out here.
I’m not one for carpets (in fact i would normally run a mile!), but dear I say that I quite like these velvet like carpets?! What do you think? I might be safer with a velvet rug like this one. I love the foal colour.
I have ordered some velvet fabric from Stoff & Stil for a little project. They have a good selection of colours. Check it out here, velvet fabrics are not as expensive as you might think. If you missed my post about luxury velvet headboards you can find it here.
I came across these beautiful photos on Rue Verte and just loved them. The pictures by Michael Rygaard look luxurious and quite masculine. It’s like you can touch the textures in these stunning photos. I think most of us would walk up to touch the velvet just to check how it feels. Tactaile is the new way after all.
Big love for velvet everywhere!
