Beige Toned Apartment with Handmade Ceramics in a New District of Stockholm

12/06/2020

I regularly feature Scandinavian period properties here but this time a brand new build in an equally new district in Stockholm has caught my eye. Haga Norra is set to be the place to be for culture and lifestyle and this new apartment block is in the heart of it.

As expected from the team at Fantastic Frank, the apartment is beautifully appointed throughout and styled to perfection. A classic, muted colour palette has been used to maximise the Scandinavian light. And I love how the overall look feels so warm and inviting with a matt lacquered ash floor connecting the rooms together.

A gorgeous light grey Offset sofa by Menu sits against a mid-grey wall in an open plan living-dining room shared with the kitchen. Warm spice velvet dining chairs lend depth to the colour palette and break up the tonal shades of beige.

The kitchen units in a light matt beige compliment the high-shine brushed stainless steel worktops. It’s quite refreshing to see stainless steel worktops at the moment, given how popular marble and stone continues to be.

Carefully curated raw ceramics in a similar tone to the units give the space an artisanal look which takes the edge off the straight lines.
Similarly, there’s an artful aesthetic to the framed prints. Their abstract style connects beautifully to the handcrafted ceramics and sculptural art.

And there’s even a bijou wall-mounted workspace complete with an &Tradition Flowerpot lamp and a classic Gubi Beetle chair, perfect for working from home. I love the idea of taking a break from work and nipping downstairs to a stylish coffee bar.

I can’t get enough of these cosy, tonal Nordic interiors. What do you think of this new build with character?
