I was asked by gorgeous interior design store Houseology to style a lamp. They have a large lighting section with lots of big brands. It was difficult to choose, but in the end my choice was the amazing La Pedrera lamp by Gubi. I think it’s minimal, timeless and I also think it works in many parts of the room. I’ve styled one lamp in 3 different settings.
1 The Bedroom
The lamp works really well as a bedside light. It gives off a soft light and makes the bedroom look lovely and inviting in the evenings. It doesn’t take up a lot of space either, so it’s easy to make room for it on a small table. It’s also easy to switch off when you want to go to sleep.
2 The Study
Perhaps not ideal for detailed drawings and things like that, but for me this lamps works really well in my study. I have a space where I read and the lamp was perfect for that. The lamp goes well with both light and dark colours.
3 The Living room
The lamp is small enough to go on a coffee. It would also look great on a console table or on a display cabinet. As it is striking in black, I think it looks great with white walls in monochrome interiors. I think this is a lamp you won’t get tired of. It can move from room to room. After my one lamp 3 stylings you can see that it would fit in well in lots of situations.
I want also want to let you know about a new section on Houseology. On “My Houseology“ customers can share images of their new products in their homes – with a chance to win £500 of Houseology vouchers each month!
Super styling Hege! Nice choice of lamp too, love Gubi!
